Executive education courses and workshops can provide a learning environment where employees can focus and safely pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses. The privacy of the classroom provides a space where participants can open up and discuss topics that they would not be able to address under normal circumstances. Executive education trainers are usually made up of managers from a variety of industries. This leads to a dynamic group where participants can share their own experiences and learn about how challenges are dea lt with in a variety of different environments. Executive education remains one of the key means to achieve change. In order to better understand the process of achieving impact, it is important to study the key benefits by studying how people perceived their growth in these areas as well as the processes that organizations use to measure impact over the long-term. Customized educational sessions help organizations increase management capability by combining the studies of business and performance management into specialized programs that assist executives to develop new knowledge, skills and attitudes. Knowledge turns into the capability an organization applies to the products and services it brings to the company. The more specific the needs assessment and the establishment of learning outcomes, the greater the likelihood is that they will be achieved. From an individual participant perspective, knowledge is frequently mentioned as a primarily short-term goal, yet persona l development with self-leadership is more often seen as the more important outcome of an executive education program. From an organization perspective, gains in self-leadership were especially effective when they were targeted at leadership skills that the organization has to ultimately achieve such as customer-orientation, results-orientation or other competencies derived from the strategy. any human resource managers are asking this question after having little to show for years of diversity programs. And employers are looking for ways to make diversity an integral part of the organizations culture. The answer for both usually comes down to holding managers accountable for diversity efforts at all levels. Too often, when diversity training is finished, thats the end of it. There is no follow up, no system put in place to ensure organizational commitment, and no way to hold people accountable for effective diversity management. But employers are starting to realize that y ou get what you pay for-and that if you pay for performance and hold people accountable for behavioral and business changes in the diversity arena, you will begin to build an organizational culture supportive of diversity. More importantly, youll build a culture that leverages diversity for competitive advantage. Many managers aspire to achieve a specific change in performance. This can only be achieved if the capabilities of the organization are enhanced. Executive education with its four pathways à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å" goal-setting, self-leadership, networking and frame of reference change is a key means through which these aspirations of performance improvements can be achieved. Companies are increasingly concerned with ensuring CEO performance evaluation that captures not only short-term results but also longer-term value results. This has led to a focus on talent metrics, however the lack of training and focus applied to talent metrics has limited the ability to hold CEOs an d their executive teams accountable for talent-related performance. Holding people accountable for results is not about communicating blame, frustration and disappointment in a monthly meeting. Instead, accountability is about persuasion and motivating people to say à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“yesà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ to delivering results and new behaviors. Some ways to hold executives accountable for their actions would be Model the behavior you want to see in others. Persuasion is more effective when it comes from peers versus the boss. Other vice-presidents would have had more influence on the sales leader. Employees who donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t understand the roles they play in company success are more likely to become disengaged. No matter what level the employee is at, he should be able to articulate exactly how his efforts feed into the broader company strategy. High performance and success are not dependent on one simple factor or as a result of one or two things. The entire context y ou operate in greatly impacts your results. Developing both clear-cut competencies and tools to measure them may require ongoing commitment and effort, but will be well worth the investment. Colleagues seeking ways to improve how they measure diversity competency must network and share methods, failures and successes. In conclusion, executive education is a benefit for all businesses because there is no limit on how much a person ca n learn in a school or business environment. Executive education provides a benefit to employees, managers, trainers and all parts of a company. It helps bring knowledge to all aspects of a business and provides a ongoing development for companies to build a strategy. Don’t waste time! Case Write-Up for Sunshine Foods Marketing Free Essays

Case Write-up Sunshine Foods Problem Sunshine Foods biggest problem is their declining profits. They also have had minimal growth and have high overhead costs, which are a large part of their declining profits. Causes Sunshine Foods has three major areas that need to be address in order to increase their profits. We will write a custom essay sample on Case Write-Up for Sunshine Foods Marketing or any similar topic only for you Order Now First, their motto: â€Å"As long as new products look like they will increase the company’s sales volume, they are introduced. † This is causing the company to take on too many products that don’t increase their revenues. It spreads them to thin and makes them too generic. Second, adding more products to use the unused areas of production. They need to do a cost analysis to see if using that unused production time has any cost/revenue benefit. Just because it is unused doesn’t mean that it will generate more money if it is used. Third, their contract states a grocer needs to carry at least 65 Sunshine Food items. This forces only large grocers to carry their items, which limits their market area. By limiting their market area to only large grocers they are unable to have price control and they are always competing against all of the other brands that the store carries. Sunshine’s lack of growth is primarily caused by their lack of specialization. If they can and freeze everything and anything then a consumer doesn’t see them as being â€Å"the best† in any product. Their lack of expansion into smaller stores is also holding back their growth. High overhead costs are created by Sunshine’s need to use every second of factory time. This is causing them to spend too much to create a product that returns very little. If their factories have that much unused time they should just close a few factories and focus on what is really important. Recommendations I would recommend that they first do a cost analysis on the products that they are producing. This will allow them to see which products sell the most and create the highest return. Once they know this information they need to produce more of those items and stop producing the items that aren’t helping their bottom line. Along with this, they will be able to identify which factories are the most efficient at producing those items. They can then close the slower factories and use the money to make the remaining factories more efficient. I would then have them change their contract to a much smaller number of items for stores to carry. If they lower their number to 25 items then they could sell items in more boutique shops that will have lower competition and higher prices. To really increase their profits they should pick a few â€Å"specialty† items and market themselves as having the best in those items. This will help them create more of a brand name, especially if they sell those items in the boutique shops. How to cite Case Write-Up for Sunshine Foods Marketing, Essay examples

The Refugee Council of Australia advocates that there are essential facts which support the organizations concerns over the reformed immigrant's policies declared by the parliament. The organization outlines that the alterations brought on the visa program do not involve research organizations which are notable researchers to ponder upon in making such a critical change. Durham, Brolan, Lui, and Whittaker (2016), argue that the regulations are framed in accordance with specific recommendations acknowledged from departments which are concerned with the training of employees taking care of refugees. The senior policy adviser of the Refugees council of Australia on behalf of the corresponding non-governmental organization representing the refugees populace in the country states that the visa program ought not to be applied among the refugees. If the bill is passed it would enable the minister for immigration to choose a class of individuals holding visa and require them to acquiesce to a revalidation process. According to Killedar and Harris (2017), the bill will not allow the marginalized people to access the country. The bill is considered to encompass reprehensible features that would undermine the refugees rights as well as the asylum seekers. The bill gives the minister of immigration as well as border security non-reviewable, non-compellable, unprecedented powers. The Refugee Council of Australia recommends that the government of Australia ought to prioritize policies and regulations that protect the rights of human especially those in search of asylum in the country. The non-governmental organization concludes that the bill is good for assessing the health of the refugees before they are allowed in the country. The amendment would ensure that any individual granted any Australian visa is of good health, therefore, diminishing the spread of infectious diseases. The bill would also enable every lawful non-citizen to undergo a medical assessment to determine whether or not he or she satisfies the health requirements. The organization, therefore, advocates that the bill should be passed so that the rights of the refugeesof having good health can be upheld.
